What Customers Say About SANUS SYSTEMS BF-31B Wood Speaker Stands:

These speakers are kind of like bookshelf speakers on steroids. I read some of the reviews that were a little harsh on these stands. They look pretty decent too. The model is the HT-S9100THX. Certainly they are not, but I think they are a good value for the money and I would buy them again. The shelf that holds the speakers could be a little larger but these are designed to hold little bookshelf speakers.

The stands serve me very well though I took the smallest personal initiative and put some velcrow tape between the shelf and the speakers. I think we need to keep in mind the price of these against what we might be perhaps comparing them to.These stands are solid and stable. They are large, powerful, and heavy. I think they deserve a little more respect. I'm using mine to hold the speakers for my 1200 watt Onkyo home theater system. These speakers will not be knocked off the stands by accidentally bumping them after this simple modification.I'm not trying to tell you that these are the best speaker stands out there.

Hope this helps you in trying to figure out what you want.

Originally I was concerned that my speakers (Bose 301) would be too big for the stands but since I have the speakers located in an area without much traffic, the stands are perfect. I needed speaker stands to get my speakers up off the floor yet I didn't want to spend a lot of money. These stands are working out perfectly. The height of the stands brings my speakers pretty much in line with with me in my chair which greatly increases the quality of the sound emanating from the speakers/sound system. I'm very glad I bought these speaker stands.

I am using the Onkyo 9100 THX speakers with the stands and they have no problem handling the weight of the speakers. I bought 3 sets of these and they all have been perfect. I have no idea what some of the people are saying about how cheap these are. The only downside is if you have tall speakers like I do, you may want to get some BluTak or a similar product just to add security. Just don't use a power drill at the highest setting and you will be fine. I had tightened them all and they look great. They feel secure, but with the tak, nothing is taking my speakers down. This is a great deal, especially for the price.

This is MISLEADING."Wood Speaker Stands".this is some sort of horrible, compressed core laminate. It is a pain in the butt to assemble and if you can not line up the holes perfectly, you will end up splitting the crappy material that these things are made of.If you do buy them, keep four toothpicks handy when you assemble these. Insert the tooth picks in the pre drilled holes of the vertical supports, in order to line them up with the holes in the base plate and top plate. even then, be very careful. In short, this product is TOTAL GARBAGE.

I took these out of the box and was able to build them within 15 minutes for both stands. You put four small balls of it in each corner (2" from each edge) and press down VERY hard. Poster adhesive or velcro might also work. The only hard part is aligning the screw holes. If the speakers are very large, it would be best to not purchase these. It helps to screw in the screws partially first. This time includes reading the instructions and unboxing them. They are now so secure that you can even lift up on the speakers and the actual stand is still attached.

In the end I had NO split "wood" at all. I mounted my Infinity P152 speakers with a product called "Dap Bluestik". I don't think these are made out of actual wood, but the quality and look of the stands is very good for the price. I think the limit is 15lbs each.
